Roku’s latest announcements did, though, include details of an update to the operating system it deploys on all of it TVs and other US-based Roku devices. Roku fans outside the US should note that there’s nothing in Roku’s latest announcement to suggest that Roku’s own-brand TVs will be going on sale outside of the US. The Plus models also support Dolby Vision HDR ad Dolby Atmos sound decoding, while the Select series don’t get either of these Dolby performance enhancements. Also, the Plus series use a Full Array with Local Dimming (FALD) lighting system, while the Select models don’t get any local dimming.
