![]() ![]() Reviewers all agreed: Civilization 6 is a beast. Released in late 2016, Civilization 6 has more than proven itself to be a safe purchase. Then select “Open” on the security prompt.Ĭiv 6 on Mac: Everything you need to know.Enter your system password if prompted. In the Security Settings, you should see a prompt saying, “Civilization VI was block…” Click the “Open Anyway” button under this text. Then, open the Mac System Settings > Select “Privacy and Security.”.After the “Verifying” prompt appears and completes, close the damaged error prompt. To solve this issue, this is what you need to do: Having said that, the game won’t launch after the latest update. ![]() Given the lack of Metal support after all these years, don’t count on an Apple Silicon version coming anytime soon. For a game that was brought to macOS by a renowned Mac porting studio (Aspyr Media), Metal support was expected. The "AE Test" that's available on Vimeo takes 22 minutes to render on the MacBook Air, 18 minute to render on the 2010 iMac and just under 8 minutes to render on the Mac Pro.It is worth noting that the game still uses the aging OpenGL graphics API. to report back if more RAM helps (it certainly might).įor what it's worth, I've benchmarked my 11-inch MacBook Air against my 2010 27-inch iMac i5 and my Late 2013 Mac Pro. I'll try to test this out on my Mac Pro a.s.a.p. I suspect that this issue has less to do with RAM and more to do with video formats that are compressed between the frames (as GoPro native and iPhone native clips are). It's probably worth noting that you have to download and install the Apple ProRes presets from the Adobe Media Encoder Add-on page (it doesn't install via Creative Cloud Desktop). If you haven't already replaced your MacBook Pro, you could try Apple ProRes422 (LT) or better as well. 1280x720p30 Apple ProRes422 (Proxy) files are fairly responsive. It's certainly worth noting that editing 3840x2160p30 H264 footage is extremely laggy on this system while editing 3840x2160p30 AppleProRes422 (LT) footage is fairly laggy. The issue could still be RAM related, but transcoding to Apple ProRes422 (LT) or better should resolve it. Transcoding the camera original clip to Apple ProRes422 (LT) and replacing the camera original in the Sequence via Replace with Clip > From Bin and then exporting at "Match Sequence Settings" and at the QuickTime Apple ProRes422 (LT) preset both resulting in the Morph Cut rendering as expected. Using the camera original (an H264 clip) in a Sequence created by dragging and dropping the clip onto the New Item icon and then exporting to H264 Match Source - High Bitrate resulted in the "Analyzing in background" banner being rendered into the exported clip and no Morph Cut transition. The macOS is 10.12.6 Sierra and Premiere Pro is CC2017 (11.1.2). I tested this out on my 11-inch MacBook Air (Early 2015, 8GB RAM, 2.2GHz i7, Intel HD Graphics 6000 1.5GB integrated graphics) with 2160p30 footage shot on my iPhone. Although, this is definatlely plan B as the third party effect is somewhat pricy and the process takes some time to setup, track, adjust and then render (however, you can get exceptional results). ![]() ![]() There's a trial version of the effect available for download and you'd want to watch all fo the tutorial videos (I think that there are 12 and it'll take about two hours to go through them) to master how the morph effects is controlled in AE. Prior to Morph Cut, this is the approach you would have had to have taken. If Premeire Pro just won't do it on your machine, you could aslo try Revision Effects RE: Flex morph effect in After Effects. I'll try to do a Morph Cut on my 15-inch MacBook Pro (and older 2013 model) with 4K footage and report back with what happens. If you're still having issues using Morph Cut, one option would be to downcovert your 4K camera originals to 1080 Apple ProRes. Then create Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) proxy files, enabling the Proxy workflow in PR. You're on Mac, right? Try transcoding your 4K camera originals to Apple ProRes422 (HQ) (unless you're tight on disk space, then use Apple ProRes422 (LT). ![]()
